Defective Case
Here's a brutal case for you.
I'm treating a patient who's wife is a homeopath and I use the term loosely because she's practicing anything but homeopathy. Unbeknown to me, she's been giving him Nux-v once/week for the last month because it helps reduce his blood-alcohol volume after he's been drinking in a bar. It apparently works as he always checks the breathalizer test in the bar before and after taking the Nux-v. He was taking it less frequently for before this last month for a year as well as Coffea for his inability to fall asleep.
I'm aghast (but not surprised) that she's not able to see the problem in giving another Rx weekly while I was prescribing for him. So much for 1 Rx at a time...
It's hard enough to becoming proficient even knowing the principles...
